  5. Select an appropriate Zeroter.com ad category that fits with your product or service. Your ad may be rejected if posted in the wrong category

  6. Enter a competitive price for the product or service your are offering

  7. Provide accurate contact details through which potential buyers can easily contact you. Ensure that you are reachable on the contact provided. If your contact change ay any point, immediately update your contact details on your profile

  8. Ensure that the advert reflect accurate details of the product or service being offered

  10. Publish the product or service. 

NOTE: Ensure that the advert is for a single type of product / item and not multiple unrelated products / items or services

12. You may create another advert for other type of products or services. We may cancel the advert if multiple unrelated products or services are grouped into a single advert.

We provide below a simple step-by-step guide to help our customers:

 

1. Sign in to your Zeroter.com profile

    • Select a clear and succinct title for the ad

Following the above steps, your ad goes for a review. Zeroter.com will then check your ad to ensure that it meets our platform policies and that all the details provided does not violate any our of our rules.

 

Once we approve your ad, it will go live and the system will automatically send you an email notification to inform you of the ad going live.

 

If we find anything wrong when reviewing your ad, we’ll highlight to you sections of your ad that needs to be amended / edited.

Why is my advert posting request on Zeroter.com declined?

There could be several reasons why an advert might be rejected. Some of the reasons may include, but not limited to:

  1. Seller / service provider posts in the wrong ad category

  2. Seller / service provider posts an advert using a generic stock photo from the internet

  3. Seller / service provider posts more than one advert for the same product or service 

  4. Seller / service provider posts a single advert for multiple unrelated products or service

  5. Seller / service provider posts images of a product or service with watermarks or contact information

  6. The price on the ad is unrealistic and not representative of fair market value for the product or service

  7. The photos used in the advert are blurry or inappropriate or does not meet our photo guidelines

  8. Seller / service provider did not provided a contact details

  9. Seller / service provider did not provide an accurate description of the product or service

  10. The product / service is not legally permitted, is restricted or prohibited. For further details, refer to General Terms of Use – Restrictions  and Prohibited Items & Products.

You will receive a notification from Zeroter.com with advice on why your advert was declined and how to make improvement.

We encourage seller / service provider to make necessary amendments and resubmit their ad for approval. We will approve the ad when suggested amendments have been made.

Why can’t I find my posted advert on Zeroter.com?

The main reason why an advert might not appear on Zeroter.com when posted is that the ad is under review by Zeroter.com admin to ensure it does not violate any of our policies, including the use of photos/images.

During our review, if there’s something that needs to be edited or removed, you will receive a notification from Zeroter.com with advice on needs improving or needs to be edited.

When the suggested change is made and re-posted, the advert will go for review again. If there’s no issue with the re-post, then our admin will allow the ad to appear in search results.

You may check the status of your ad or make further edits by signing in to you Zeroter.com account and click on ‘My Adverts’.

How long does posted adverts on Zeroter.com posted for?

Adverts posted by sellers / service providers go into review by Zeroter.com admin, , if there’s nothing that violates our policy in the advert, it would be allowed to appear in Zeroter.com searches. 

The advert will appear on OpenMarketc.om for 1 – 3 months from the date of posting. At expiration, the seller / service provider may decide to either renew or deactivate the ad should they wish. 

If the ad is neither renewed or deactivated, it will be auto-deleted from our system after xxx days

NOTE: We encourage sellers / service provider to immediately update the advert if the current details provided on the ad changes at anytime.

 

How can I improve the quality of my advert in order to increase sales?

Below are salient points to help you improve your adverts and give you a better chance to convert your advert into consistent sales:

1. Keep a positive mindset to succeed and be guided by a singular, overall purpose to be of service to others. Herein lies your success.

2. Be detail oriented

  • Ensure that you have completed your profile with accurate and up-to-date information, including contact(s) 

  • Provide accurate, appealing and eye-catching title for your product or service

3. Make ‘quality’ your mantra

  • Ensure your product is of the highest quality

  • Provide quality service to your customer. Always keep in mind that that your customer’s recommendations of your product or service are the best advert you can ever get

  • Read your advert before posting to ensure that there aren’t mistakes that could make potential customers think that you do not care about your product or service in allowing such mistakes

4. Set a competitive price for the product or service your are offering

Advert limit defines the number of available listings that a seller or service provider can place in a particular category on Zeroter.com.

If you opt for in-person item purchase in lieu of postal delivery, ensure that you inspect the product and pay for the product immediately whilst it is in your possession. Do not become an unwitting victim by letting a potential fraudster to swap an item away from your view after you have inspected the item.

 

Buyers can report anyone fraudulently operating on Zeroter.com or has requested payment for a product / service other than through Zeroter.com platform.

How can I be sure that I’ll get the items I purchased or service I requested?

 

It is impossible to vouch for everyone using our platform despite our best intention and efforts. We minimise risks for ourselves, buyers and sellers / service providers hence we strongly advice that all transactions be made only via Zeroter.com platform. We serve as a reputable escrow between the buyer and seller / service provider until completion of the transaction.

 

Review the product to ensure it’s what you ordered, and pay for it only if you are satisfied.

Can I react to feedbacks?

When you read feedbacks on a product or service that you find helpful, it is very useful to let the other potential customers know that you found the feedback valuable in two ways:

  • by ‘liking’ the feedback (using the appropriate emoji button), and/or 

  • by providing a comment under the original feedback

 

This lets everyone reading the feedback know that you find the feedback useful and helpful. 

 

You may do this by selecting the appropriate emoji that captures your reaction to the feedback.

 

Use the guide below when reacting to a feedback :

    1. Be objective and honest 

    2. Be polite and do not use an offensive language

    3. Be tolerant of other’s opinions, preferences, belief system, or religious inclination even if you fundamentally disagree with them

Do not provide s feedback (positive or negative ) based on falsehood

Do not attempt to promote goods and services within a feedback

Do not attempt to leave your contact details, weblinks or social media handle as a comments to feedbacks.

We allow only feedbacks and reactions / comments  to feedbacks to be published provided they do not violate the platform’s rules and guidance. 

Are feedbacks moderated?

Yes, they are.

Why are feedbacks moderated before they appear?

We review feedbacks before they become publicly viewable to ensure that they do not:

      1. violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances 

      2. violate Zeroter.com’s rules and guidance

      3. contain inappropriate, false or misleading information

      4. contain impolite and offensive language

      5. contain fundamentally inaccurate details 

      6. contain discrimination based on belief system, religion, national origin, race, color, or sex

All feedbacks go through a process where they receive one of the following statuses:

Moderation: 

When a feedback is provided our system automatically puts it into review with the status ‘Moderation’ until Zeroter.com administrator complete the review and decides to push the feedback into one of the other available statuses.

Active: 

When we approve a feedback, it automatically receive the status ‘active’, and our system allows everyone to see the feedback.

Declined:  

There could be a plethora of reasons why we may decline a feedback – it may be as simple as feedback not related to the product or service being reviewed.  If we find anything wrong with the feedback, we allocate it the status of ‘Decline’. The system automatically return the feedback to the person who made the feedback, and unless it is edited and re-sent for another review, it won’t be visible to anyone on the platform.

Complaint:

If a feedback describes suspicious activity by a seller / service provider with adequate evidence provided, we convert the feedback to a complaint and hitherto commence a review process to verify whether the evidence supports the claim.  We’ll take one of the following steps during our review:

    • If the evidence supports, the claim we’ll immediately contact the seller / service provider for response to the claim to be fair to both parties and thereafter take an appropriate action.

    • If however, the evidence shows that the buyer has made a false claim in order to tarnish the reputation of the seller / service provider, we reserve the right to ban the buyer from using our platform.
